1. What are service vouchers?

The Flemish service voucher is a means of payment partially subsidized by the Flemish Region.
The check can be used to pay for household work performed by a licensed company.
The checks apply by region: the Flemish Region, Brussels Capital Region and the Walloon Region. Different conditions and prices apply to each of the regions.

2. From 2025, only digital service vouchers

You can no longer purchase paper service checks starting Jan. 1, 2025.
You must purchase checks through My Citizen Profile: via online browser or the app.
Do you still have paper checks? If so, you can make them
Dechecks are valid for 12 months. Starting Jan. 1, 2025, digital checks will be automatically refunded if not used before the expiration date.

3. Service voucher price increase 2025

The checks cost 10 euros compared to 9 euros in 2024.
You can no longer deduct checks for tax purposes at 1.80 euros each.
You must order at least 10 checks per order. That’s the minimum number.
The maximum number of checks per user is 500 per year. As a family, the maximum number is 1,000 checks. For single-parent families, disabled persons and parents of disabled minors, it is 2,000.

4. Tips for people with service checks from 2024

Buy additional checks in 2024 that you will use anyway before maturity. Then save a net 2.80 euros each (= 1 euro price premium and 1.80 euros tax benefit).
Use your 2024 checks before their expiration date so they are still tax deductible at $1.80 each. Note that only your first 198 (per person) are tax deductible. If you’re a couple, it’s the first 396 (total).
