Christmas time is coming! There is no question that this year we get to celebrate Christmas just that little bit extra. Think of Christmas trees full of decorations, long tables decorated for the whole family and lots more presents under the tree for your loved ones. We can’t wait! That is why we have listed the Christmas trends.
Christmas Trends: Funky Christmas
This year you will see the craziest shapes hanging in Christmas trees in Christmas windows. Only round baubles in the tree are no longer necessary. How about cowboy boots or a glass of champagne in the tree? In the form of a pendant, of course. Have no idea where to find this kind of Christmas decoration? Here are some stores (which also have a web shop) where you’re sure to come across some nice ones:
Christmas Trends: Classic Christmas
Not a fan of crazy shapes in your Christmas tree? No problem, classic Christmas decorations still remain in. Red bows and shiny baubles remain a fixture for many, and we understand that all too well!
Christmas Trends: Back to Nature
Decorating your table with rustic elements (think dried flowers, Christmas branches, etc.) will undoubtedly create a magical result. Elements such as rope, moss and pottery – which you may not immediately think of – provide that rural and peaceful feeling. This trend therefore stands for tranquility and time for yourself. You can hang decorative animals in your Christmas tree to continue the trend.
Christmas trends: Powder Soft
What you will probably see often in stores are soft shades like “nude” and “powder pink. With a touch of lilac here and there, the look is complete! The many different soft shades together create a beautiful whole. So you don’t have to stick to one shade. Mix & match definitely applies here.
Christmas Trends: Magical Garden
The trend that somewhat ties in with “Back to Nature” is the “Magical Garden” trend. Is the natural trend not glamorous enough for you? Then this trend will probably be more your thing. To create the magical aspect, add a lot of glitter and fairy elements such as gnomes, stars, elves … The result? A real fairy forest in your living and dining room!
Christmas trends: Industrial
In a lot of living rooms you already came across this look in the past few years. Therefore, the industrial theme is not brand new, but certainly a nice option for those who do not like a lot of glitter and decoration. What exactly does this look look like? Think of the combination of the colors black, white and gray, less frills and glitter, but still the warmth of Christmas through cozy Christmas lights.
Some decorating tips:
- Keep your decorations minimalist.
- Create a rugged look by using wood, concrete and brick.
- Your Christmas tree may also look completely different. How about a wooden version? This one can also last for years!
